Brnabic: I will be working on getting parliament closer to businesses

BELGRADE - Serbia's new Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Friday the parliament was the top legislative body and that her vision was that it play an even more active role in further transformation and strengthening of Serbia.

Speaking at the unveiling of Inno Verse, an AI-based digital services platform designed to help companies improve their operations, Brnabic said she would also be working on getting the parliament as close to businesses as possible.

"I will be looking to build a better, stronger bridge to businesses together with everyone in the National Assembly of Serbia - all MPs, the relevant working bodies, committees and parliamentary delegations - and to open the door of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to our businesses. To foreign investors and, much more so and more importantly, to local businesses, to our micro enterprises and SMEs and family firms," Brnabic said.

The goal is to help growth, development and strengthening of Serbia in times that are quite complex and amid challenging circumstances, she said.

The unveiling was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS), whose President Marko Cadez awarded Brnabic a special recognition for her contribution to digital transformation and development of Serbia's ICT sector.
