BELGRADE - Serbian FM and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic confirmed to Tanjug on Friday a team to fight against Pristina's potential admission to the Council of Europe (CoE) had been set up at a government session earlier in the day.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic demanded an urgent establishment of the team at an extraordinary government session on Thursday.

In an appearance on the RTS on Friday morning, Dacic said he would be co-heading the team with the Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic.

"The majority of the people in the team will be from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs but there are also people from the National Assembly and the office of the president of the Republic, as well as people from some other ministries, such as Tanja Miscevic, who is in charge of European integration, and Minister Tomislav Momirovic, who has many contacts regarding external trade," Dacic said.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the CoE will debate the so-called Kosovo's bid for membership in the organisation on April 16.
