Mogherini walks out of EU-Kosovo SA Council meeting

EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini walked out of Friday's meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council between the European Union and Kosovo, insulted by Kosovo PM Ramus Haradinaj's insistence on stepping up the US involvement in the process of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini walked out of Friday's meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council between the European Union and Kosovo, insulted by Kosovo PM Ramus Haradinaj's insistence on stepping up the US involvement in the process of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

According to Tanjug's unofficial sources in Brussels, the EU's message to Haradinaj is that Kosovo must work seriously on its European perspective and seize the opportunity the entire region has in that regard.

EU-Kosovo SA Council meets

BRUSSELS - The Stabilisation and Association Council between the European Union and Kosovo held its second meeting on Friday.

According to a statement on the European Council website, "the meeting underlined the importance of continuous engagement in the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade and of the implementation of all agreements already reached without delay."
