Dacic: Three nations' position on summit support for us

The fact that Spain, Romania and Cyprus are close to making a decision not to attend the main debate at a May 17 EU-Western Balkans summit in Sofia is great support for us and demonstrates that the EU cannot establish a united position, Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said Monday.

BELGRADE - The fact that Spain, Romania and Cyprus are close to making a decision not to attend the main debate at a May 17 EU-Western Balkans summit in Sofia is great support for us and demonstrates that the EU cannot establish a united position, Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said Monday.

The three countries are against the phrase "the Western Balkans Six" as they believe it puts everyone on equal footing even though the six participants do not have the same status, and want the group to be referred to as the Western Balkans, Dacic said.
