Mogherini: Serbia can proceed faster, Brnabic: EU a priority

EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini said in Brussels on Tuesday she was optimistic about Serbia's European future and that Serbia, in collaboration with Brussels, could proceed even faster on that path by implementing reforms.

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini said in Brussels on Tuesday she was optimistic about Serbia's European future and that Serbia, in collaboration with Brussels, could proceed even faster on that path by implementing reforms.


At a press conference with Serbian PM Ana Brnabic following a Serbia-EU Stabilisation and Association Council meeting, Mogherini welcomed Brnabic's personal commitment in that regard, expressing the confidence this would lead to further progress in key areas such as rule of law, judiciary and freedom of speech.

Mogherini: Alternative to dialogue "very dangerous"

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini said in Brussels on Tuesday the alternative to having a "serious, meaningful dialogue" between Belgrade and Pristina "with real engagement from both sides" was "very dangerous".

At a press conference with Serbian PM Ana Brnabic after a meeting of the Serbia-EU Stabilisation and Association Council, she said there had been progress in past years and expressed the hope this would continue.
