BELGRADE - A post-festive dip marked the first day of trading at the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) after Orthodox Christmas.


The BELEX15 index slumped 1.8 pct to 718.24 points, while BELEXline dropped 1.4 pct to 1,536.87 points.


The total volume of trading was around 7.6 mln dinars (64 thousand euros).


Komercijalna banka securities were the most traded of the day and its ordinary shares registered a volume of 4.3 mln dinars but with a sharp 2.2 pct price drop to 2,150 dinars (1 euro = 118 dinars).


On the other hand, the bank's priority shares strengthened 2.4 pct, closing at 681 dinars and a volume of 0.1 mln dinars.


The Sevojno copper mill was the absolute gainer of the day with an 18.6 pct price increase to 1.186 dinars.


Messer Tehnogas led the losers with an 8.9 pct price drop to 10,656 dinars and a scant volume of trading.
