BELGRADE - In 2018, Serbia's Komercijalna banka achieved the best business results in the past decade and expects record profits of around 8.3 bln dinars - over 70 mln euros.

"In 2018, the bank turned around a trend from the past four years, in which it saw a reduction of its market share, which has impacted the bank's profitability and productivity. In the last three quarters of 2018, we managed to turn around the considerably long downward trend and get nearly all business indicators in the right direction," Komercijalna banka Executive Board Chairman Vladimir Medan has told Tanjug.

As a result, the parent bank's year-end profit before tax will be around 8.1 bln dinars, Medan said.

Komercijalna banka currently has a 2,775-strong workforce in Serbia, 202 branch offices and 300 employees in Banjaluka and Podgorica.
