BELGRADE - All conditions are in place for the Chinese company Yinlong to become the majority owner of Belgrade bus manufacturer Ikarbus, State Secretary at the Serbian Ministry of Justice Dragan Stevanovic said Thursday, adding that the Chinese partner had met all its bank liabilities and purchased all claims.
The company has fulfilled all requirements and is now qualified to become the majority owner, which is a guarantee Ikarbus will be the pride of Serbia, Stevanovic told Prva TV.
"Once all administrative procedures are complete, the Chinese company can start carrying out its business plans and programmes," he said.
Ikarbus CEO Aleksandar Vicentic said earlier the new owner was planning to expand production to include electric vehicles.
