Lasta shares soar by over 20 pct on BELEX

Belgrade-based transport company Lasta saw record gains on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) Friday, soaring by over 20 pct, while most other stocks closed in red territory on the last day of the trading week.

BELGRADE - Belgrade-based transport company Lasta saw record gains on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) Friday, soaring by over 20 pct, while most other stocks closed in red territory on the last day of the trading week.

The overall volume of trading dropped to 7.8 mln dinars (66.2 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index slid 0.3 pct d-o-d to 729.48 points but gained nearly 3 pct w-o-w, while BELEXline rose minimally to 1,580.55 points, increasing its w-o-w gains to 1.8 pct.

Jedinstvo Sevojno saw the highest volume of trading - 4.1 mln dinars - at an average price of 5,102 dinars, which was 0.1 pct lower compared to the previous trading session.

Skyrocketing by 20.6 pct to 726 dinars, Lasta was the sole gainer of the day and registered a 0.1 mln dinar volume.

At that price per share, the company's market capitalisation is 1.35 bln dinars (around 11.5 mln euros).
