Montenegrin residents invest 12.2 mln euros in Serbia in 2018

Cyprus was the top investment destination for Montenegrin residents in 2018 and their investments in the island state totalled 43.8 mln euros, while investments in Serbia stood at 12.2 mln euros, Montenegro's central bank said Monday.

PODGORICA - Cyprus was the top investment destination for Montenegrin residents in 2018 and their investments in the island state totalled 43.8 mln euros, while investments in Serbia stood at 12.2 mln euros, Montenegro's central bank said Monday.

Montenegro's investment outflow reached as much as 515 mln euros last year, including 110.4 mln euros invested abroad by Montenegrin residents, the Pobjeda daily reported.

Slovenia, the Netherlands and Serbia were other favourite investment destinations.

"Montenegro residents invested the most in Cyprus (48.3 mln euros), Slovenia (15.1 mln euros), the Netherlands (13.3 mln euros) and Serbia (12.2 mln euros)," the central bank said.
