DUBROVNIK - Serbia's Postal Savings Bank signed a credit line deal with the China Development Bank at Friday's China-CEE summit in Dubrovnik.

Postal Savings Bank Executive Board President Bojan Kekic said the agreement was a historic one and the first form of financial cooperation between Chinese and Serbian financial institutions.

As part of the 16+1 mechanism of cooperation, the Postal Savings Bank joined a China-CEE interbank association in late 2017.

"The agreed price-related and other terms are extremely favourable and competitive and the funds from the credit line will primarily be used for strategically significant development projects of the Republic of Serbia," Kekic said.

"This is just a first step in establishing financial cooperation with the China Development Bank and we can expect even more significant sources of funding from there in the near future," he said.
