BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and World Bank Country Manager for Serbia Stephen Ndegwa on Friday discussed continued cooperation on projects in the transport sector, completion of Corridor 10 and improvement of the railway sector.

Mihajlovic said her ministry had a good partner in the World Bank, expressing satisfaction with the fact the cooperation would be continued through improvement of the Serbian transport sector, the ministry said in a statement.

"The support you are giving us in the road sector reform as well as in the preparation of a strategy for development of transport in Serbia is extremely significant for us. I believe we will cooperate successfully in further reform of the railway sector as well," she told Ndegwa.

The World Bank on Thursday approved a Western Balkans Trade and Transport Facilitation Project to reduce the time and cost of trade in the region.

Ndegwa said the project was particularly aimed at removing non-physical barriers and reducing border delays.
