Monday's dinar-to-euro rate to be RSD 118.0719

The Serbian dinar will remain approximately steady against the euro Monday and the official median exchange rate will be 118.0719 dinars, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced in a statement.

BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar will remain approximately steady against the euro Monday and the official median exchange rate will be 118.0719 dinars, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced in a statement.

The dinar will decline by 0.1 pct against the euro m-o-m, rising by 0.1 pct y-o-y and by 0.1 pct compared to the beginning of the year.

The indicative exchange rate against the dollar grew by 0.1 pct to 104.9248 dinars Friday.

The dinar dropped by 1.2 pct against the dollar m-o-m, declining by 8.7 pct y-o-y and by 1.5 pct since the beginning of the year.

The NBS has purchased a total 215 mln euros and sold 130 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to curb major daily exchange rate fluctuations.

The dinar hit a new 2019 high against the euro on March 21 as one euro was exchanged for 117.9290 dinars.

The national currency was at its lowest against the euro this year on January 29, when one euro was worth 118.4940 dinars.
