BELGRADE - The Serbian Internet advertising market has grown around 25 pct over the past year and investments in it totalled 36.8 mln euros, according to a survey presented at the Digital Day 2019 conference in Belgrade.

Internet advertising accounts for 22 pct of the total advertising market, which is less than in some more developed countries, Rade Trickovic, general manager at the Httpool agency, said Thursday.

"In more developed markets, the figure is over 50 pct, which shows that we are lagging behind significantly," Trickovic said.

Nevertheless, 24.8 pct growth has been registered and it is one of Europe's highest growth rates, he noted.

Mobile advertising has seen 45.4 pct growth and it is worth around 19 mln euros, while video advertising has grown 53 pct and is worth 5.39 mln euros, he said.

The social media advertising market has also registered 42 pct growth and is worth 8.1 mln euros, he said.
