Alfa plam fires up BELEX stock trading

Stock trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) registered an excellent volume on the last day of the trading week as Alfa plam shares saw high demand and a decline of both indices stopped.

BELGRADE - Stock trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) registered an excellent volume on the last day of the trading week as Alfa plam shares saw high demand and a decline of both indices stopped.
The overall volume of trading was 122.7 mln dinars (1.04 mln euros).
The BELEX15 index was practically steady at 732.14 points - and marginally up w-o-w - while BELEXline nudged up very slightly, closing at 1,557.48 points, but fell almost 1.3 pct w-o-w.
Alfa plam, a Vranje-based stove and heater manufacturer, registered a fantastic 107.7 mln dinar volume at an unchanged price of 32,000 dinars.
Naftna industrija Srbije was also steady at 725 dinars and saw a volume of 7.2 mln dinars, while Nikola Tesla Airport was the only gainer of the day with a 0.1 pct rise to 800 dinars, recording a 6.5 mln dinar volume.
Komercijalna banka common stocks were steady at 2,752 dinars and registered a 0.5 mln dinar volume, while the bank's preferred stocks posted a volume of 0.2 mln dinars but dropped 4.8 pct to 1,171 dinars.
