PANCEVO - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday said the German automotive company ZF would not only bring new jobs to Serbia, but leading-edge technology as well.

That is why today is a great day not only for Pancevo and Vojvodina, but also for entire Serbia, Vucic said at the opening of a ZF auto parts plant in Pancevo, northern Serbia.

"This rotor and this stator, which will be joined here, will be built into an electric Volvo and other European cars of the best quality. This will be produced here, making us one of the countries in the region that will have the production of the 'soul' of electric cars, which are the future," Vucic said.

ZF will hire a total 1,300 people in Pancevo and open a development and technology centre, where the best engineers will develop new technologies, he said.
