KANJIZA/ADA - Thanks to the state-run national reference laboratory for milk quality control, Serbia will in a few days be able to export milk and dairy products to China, Serbian Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic said Wednesday.
Nedimovic was visiting the Kravic Brothers distillery in the Kanjiza municipality, northern Serbia, and the Mihalek-Pap cow farm in the nearby Ada municipality with Vojvodina Agriculture Secretary Vuk Radojevic.
Radojevic said the farm was delivering over 2 mln l of milk to processors every year.
It is very important that such producers are backed by the government, Nedimovic said.
"As far as the Russian market is concerned, we will also have the right to export certain cheese varieties without quotas starting from October," a statement from the Vojvodina Secretariat for Agriculture quoted Nedimovic as saying.
