BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic on Friday met with a Hong Kong Trade Development Council delegation and a delegation of Chinese companies to discuss ongoing infrastructure projects in Serbia and potential new ones.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, she said the Chinese delegations had particularly praised the conditions for doing business in Serbia and that the message of the Serbian side was that it was seeking even more Chinese investments that would bring new know-how and new technologies to Serbia.

"Serbia and China do not only have friendly and good bilateral relations but increasingly good economic relations as well, and it is a fact that most Chinese investments here are in the infrastructure sector," she said.

The overall value of projects being implemented with China is approximately 7 bln euros and the value of potential projects, including a Belgrade metro project, is over 8 bln euros, she said.
