Jat Tehnika up for sale for 20.4 mln euros

The Serbian Ministry of Economy has launched a tender to privatise the aircraft maintenance company JAT Tehnika, with an initial price of 20.4 mln euros.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Economy has launched a tender to privatise the aircraft maintenance company JAT Tehnika, with an initial price of 20.4 mln euros.

Bids may be submitted until July 31 and the required deposit is 2 mln euros.

At the end of last year, JAT Tehnika, based in the Belgrade municipality of Surcin, had an appraised fair market value of 20,498,762 euros.

Companies predominantly engaged in aircraft maintenance and repairs for a continuous period of a minimum of the past five years may take part in the tender.

An individual or consolidated 2018 income of a minimum 40 mln euros and maintenance and repair capacities on a minimum ten positions for a continuous period of a minimum of the past two years are also among the requirements.

The potential buyer is required to have had certificates for base and line maintenance of Bombardier and Embraer aircraft for a minimum of the past five years.

The subject of the sale is 99.3 pct of the total JAT Tehnika capital, with 95.4 pct owned by the Republic of Serbia.
