KRALJEVO - The management of the Morava military-civilian airport near Kraljevo, central Serbia, is in talks with several airlines about launching regular flights from winter this year, the EX YU Aviation portal reports.

Airports of Serbia CEO Mihajlo Zdravkovic said there was interest in the airport, "as indicated by the fact we have rented out office space at the airport."

"We may expect the first commercial flights from the Morava Airport to be launched at the beginning of the winter season in late October," he said.

"It is not unrealistic for the airport to handle 20,000 passengers this year, if the flights do begin this winter," he said.

Any plane with a capacity of 60 or 80 passengers can land at the Morava Airport, he said.

"We are also capable of handling larger aircraft such as Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A319 and A320," the E-kapija portal quoted Zdravkovic as saying.
