BELGRADE - Europe's leading international news channel, the Euronews television network, which arrived in Serbia as French President Emmanuel Macron visited Belgrade earlier this week, will provide an opportunity to make new content available to Serbian audiences, as well as to make Serbia more present and more visible internationally.

Euronews Executive Director Michael Peters says Euronews Serbia will use all of the network's exclusive global content but also produce its own content about Serbia and the Balkans.

It will be a mixture of international and local content, Peters told Tanjug in an interview.

We are launching a new operation through a franchise, with a strong local partner, and that alone is a great challenge, he said.

We have a brand that has existed for over 20 years and demonstrated that it is credible and independent, which is our greatest value, Peters said.

Euronews is based in Lyon, France.
