BELEX indices slump as stock trading stalls

BELGRADE - Wednesday's overall trading volume on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was 75 mln dinars (636.8 thousand euros), largely due to government bonds, while stock trading stalled and indices slumped.

The BELEX15 index dropped 0.9 pct to 750.37 points and BELEXline fell 0.6 pct to 1,572.65 points.

Komercijalna banka common stocks continued to dominate the trading with a 16.4 mln dinar volume, but fell 1.5 pct to 3,249 dinars.

On the other hand, the bank's preferred stocks were the top gainer of the day with a 3.6 pct rise to 1,295 dinars and saw a 0.3 mln dinar volume.

Impol Seval grew 2.7 pct to 3,300 dinars and registered a 5.3 mln dinar volume.

Nikola Tesla Airport was the day's biggest loser with a 3 pct decline to 869 dinars and registered a 1.4 mln dinar volume.

Dinar-denominated RSO19182 government bonds, maturing in January 2022, posted a volume of 50 mln dinars.
