French giant invests in Serbian company FitPass

French giant Up group has acquired a stake in the Serbian company FitPass, the leader in the Serbian sports market whose system includes 1,200 sports facilities in Serbia and the region, FitPass said in a statement as the Serbian economy is gearing for more French investments in the wake of Emmanuel Macron's visit to Belgrade earlier this week.

BELGRADE - French giant Up group has acquired a stake in the Serbian company FitPass, the leader in the Serbian sports market whose system includes 1,200 sports facilities in Serbia and the region, FitPass said in a statement Thursday as the Serbian economy is gearing for more French investments in the wake of Emmanuel Macron's visit to Belgrade earlier this week.

"FitPass has officially announced the new partnership as well as a sale of equity interest to the French multinational company, which operates in over 30 countries worldwide. Although it already has a dominant position in the Serbian, Bosnia and Herzegovinan and Georgian markets, FitPass will from now on be able to develop even more quickly through cooperation and constant financial, operational and educational support from the French partner," the statement said.
