Nikola Tesla Airport top gainer of day on BELEX, NIS sees highest volume

Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) indices strengthened on Thursday despite subdued trading as investors focused on Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) shares.

BELGRADE - Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) indices strengthened on Thursday despite subdued trading as investors focused on Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) shares.

The overall volume was 24.3 mln dinars (206.8 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index rebounded 0.6 pct to 754.91 points, while BELEXline rose almost 0.4 pct to 1,578.5 points.

NIS accounted for almost 95 pct of the day's trading volume - approx. 22.9 mln dinars - rising 0.4 pct to 683 dinars.

Galenika Fitofarmacija remained steady at 2,800 dinars, registering a volume just shy of 0.6 mln dinars, while Philip Morris preferred stocks dropped about 0.8 pct to 3,622 dinars and saw a volume of slightly below 0.3 mln dinars.

Metalac closed with a marginal rise to 2,000 dinars and recorded a 0.2 mln dinar volume, while Energoprojekt holding remained at 645 dinars and saw a scant volume.

Nikola Tesla Airport was the top gainer of the day, jumping 3.1 pct to 896 dinars per share but registered a low volume.
