Everything set for the opening of the Milos Veliki highway

Everything is ready for the opening of the Milos Veliki highway, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Friday during another visit of the section of the highway from Obrenovac to Ljig, where she once again whether everything is ready for release on Sunday.

LJIG - Everything is ready for the opening of the Milos Veliki highway, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Friday during another visit of the section of the highway from Obrenovac to Ljig, where she once again whether everything is ready for release on Sunday.

"Now there are really two or three places left where the grass should be mowed and signboards with the name of the highway put up," the minister said, adding that everything was ready for the opening ceremony on Sunday.

She emphasized the importance of the new highway and stated that with the opening of the section from Obrenovac to Ljig it would be practically 103 kilometers of highway.

"This is important for the citizens and it is also important to restore some faith in us and optimism that we can really finish everything," the minister said.

Today, she toured the Obrenovac toll booth, the Lajkovac loop and the Branccich tunnel, and also met with contractors.

Government approval is expected to begin toll collection, and Roads of Serbia states that the toll from Preljina to Belgrade will be 420 dinars, starting from September 1 at the latest.
