Dinar to drop against euro, Monday rate at RSD 117.9606

The Serbian dinar will drop 0.1 pct against the euro Monday, making the official median exchange rate 117.9606 dinars for one euro, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced in a statement.

BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar will drop 0.1 pct against the euro Monday, making the official median exchange rate 117.9606 dinars for one euro, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced in a statement.

The dinar will decline 0.1 pct against the euro m-o-m, rising 0.2 pct y-o-y and compared to the beginning of the year.

The indicative exchange rate against the dollar fell 0.1 pct to 106.5781 dinars for one dollar Friday.

The dinar dropped 0.8 pct against the dollar m-o-m, declining 4.2 pct y-o-y and 3 pct since the beginning of the year.

The NBS has bought 1.895 bln euros and sold 130 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to curb excessive daily exchange rate fluctuations.

The dinar hit a new 2019 high against the euro zone currency on August 12 as one euro was exchanged for 117.6809 dinars.

It hit its 2019 low against the euro on January 29, when one euro was exchanged for 118.4940 dinars.
