Serbian delegation to attend IMF/WB annual meetings

A Serbian delegation headed by National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who is also governor of the IMF for Serbia, will attend the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group in Washington on October 14-20.

BELGRADE - A Serbian delegation headed by National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who is also governor of the IMF for Serbia, will attend the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group in Washington on October 14-20.

"The priority topics to be discussed at the Annual Meetings include the global economic outlook, developments in global financial markets and key economic policy challenges. Also, the Managing Director of the IMF will present the Global Policy Agenda.

The Serbian delegation will hold talks with the IMF management about current and expected developments in Serbia under the economic programme supported by the Policy Coordination Instrument, while talks with World Bank representatives will centre on the implementation of the projects approved under the Country Partnership Framework 2016-2020, as well as on future cooperation.

On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings the Serbian delegation, comprising representatives of the NBS and the Ministry of Finance, will meet with representatives of other financial institutions, potential investors and rating agencies, in order to promote the potentials of our economy and the progress we have achieved in terms of not only macroeconomic, but also overall performance," the NBS said in a statement.
