BELGRADE - The Serbian embassy in Paris on Tuesday received a note whereby Ramus Haradinaj is withdrawing an application for the so-called Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL, Serbian FM Ivica Dacic told Tanjug.

The note was submitted to the Serbian embassy in Paris because the INTERPOL headquarters is in Lyon, France.

An INTERPOL General Assembly meeting in Chile began earlier in the day, with membership of the so-called Kosovo in the organisation also on the agenda.

The embassy received the note slightly before 3 pm.

In a Twitter post, Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic wrote that Pristina's application had been withdrawn just before the start of the General Assembly meeting in Santiago, Chile.
