BELEX indices up, investors focus on Komercijalna banka

Stock market activity on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was slightly up on Wednesday as investors focused on Komercijalna banka shares and both indices rebounded after a two-day decline.

BELGRADE - Stock market activity on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was slightly up on Wednesday as investors focused on Komercijalna banka shares and both indices rebounded after a two-day decline.

The overall turnover was 216.9 mln dinars (1.8 mln euros), largely due to trading in Serbian government bonds.

The BELEX15 index rose 0.4 pct to 745.22 points and BELEXline grew by a third of a percent to 1,604.44 points.

Komercijalna banka common stocks dominated the stock trading, rising 2.3 pct to 3,280 dinars and registering a 16.4 mln dinar turnover.

Philip Morris remained at 4,450 dinars and saw a turnover of 1.2 mln dinars, while Naftna industrija Srbije gained 0.3 pct, closing at 675 dinars with a 0.9 mln dinar turnover.

Jubmes banka dropped 2.9 pct to 7,000 dinars and generated a turnover of 0.5 mln dinars, while Nikola Tesla recorded a 0.3 mln dinar turnover at a steady price of 803 dinars.

Gosa Montaza saw a 9.2 mln dinar turnover on the MTP market but dropped 2.3 pct to 2,150 dinars.

The euro-denominated RSO18179 series of Serbian government bonds, which mature in April 2021, registered a 119.1 mln dinar turnover (just over 1 mln euros).
