BELEX sees livelier investment activity

Investment activity on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was somewhat livelier on the last day of the trading week and both indices nudged up but were marginally down w-o-w.

BELGRADE - Investment activity on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was somewhat livelier on the last day of the trading week and both indices nudged up but were marginally down w-o-w.

The overall turnover was around 34 mln dinars (288.9 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index gained 0.1 pct, closing at 748.57 points, and BELEXline rose by the same percentage to 1,607.21 points.

Komercijalna banka common stocks once again dominated the trading, registering a turnover of almost 13.5 mln dinars at a steady price of 3,280 dinars.

Naftna industrija Srbije continued to ascend, rising 0.4 pct to 683 dinars, and saw a 5.3 mln dinar turnover, while Metalac slid by a fifth of a percent to 1,887 dinars and registered a turnover of 3.2 mln dinars.

Philip Morris preferred stocks were the gainer of the day as they jumped 0.8 pct to 4,550 dinars, registering a turnover just shy of 0.1 mln dinars.

On the MTP market, Gosa montaza saw a 9.6 mln dinar turnover at a price of 2,001 dinars, 0.1 pct down compared to Thursday.
