GENEVA - Serbia is continuing its reforms for the sake of its citizens and its future, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Friday in Geneva after taking part in a strategic dialogue on the Western Balkans, organised by the World Economic Forum.

He said he had been unable to obtain an answer from global political power-wielders as to what the region's future would look like.

"They are unable to provide an answer to the question of what our future will be like," Vucic told reporters.

"We will continue reforms for the sake of our citizens and our future. We want to improve our economy. We want to continue the accelerated growth. We will maintain our growth at over 3.6 pct," he said.

Vucic announced he would hold another meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris Monday and also ask him what countries could join the EU.
