BELGRADE - Over 93 pct of the owners of Serbian SMEs believe they must digitalise their operations to survive on the market, while 64 pct say they are managing to keep up with major changes in technology, a survey finds.

Almost 80 businesspeople from five Serbian cities - Valjevo, Kraljevo, Krusevac, Sombor and Uzice - took part in the survey, conducted at free workshops on ways of supporting SMEs in the 21st century.

The workshops were organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) in collaboration with regional chambers of commerce and telecommunications operator VIP Mobile with the aim of identifying the biggest challenges faced by local businesses and offering them digitalisation of business processes as the solution.

The survey participants were familiarised with steps leading to efficient digitalisation of operations, as well as with Our Network, a completely free tool that can help them in the process.
