NBS buys 15 mln euros, dinar-to-euro rate RSD 117.4826

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) bought 15 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market and the dinar's official median exchange against the euro will be 117.4826 dinars for one euro on Tuesday, which is a slight change from Monday, the NBS announced in a statement.

BELGRADE - The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) bought 15 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market and the dinar's official median exchange against the euro will be 117.4826 dinars for one euro on Tuesday, which is a slight change from Monday, the NBS announced in a statement.

The dinar will grow 0.1 pct against the euro m-o-m, rising 0.6 pct y-o-y as well as compared to the beginning of the year.

The indicative exchange rate against the dollar strengthened by 0.2 pct to 105.9643 dinars for one dollar Monday.

The dinar dropped 0.2 pct against the dollar m-o-m, declining 2.1 pct y-o-y and 2.4 pct since the beginning of the year.

Monday's intervention included, the NBS has bought 2.730 bln euros and sold 275 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to curb excessive daily exchange rate fluctuations.

The dinar hit a new 2019 high against the euro zone currency on Monday as one euro was exchanged for 117.4333 dinars.

The dinar was at its 2019 low against the euro on January 29, when one euro was exchanged for 118.4940 dinars.
