BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said late Thursday the video footage showing Russian intelligence agent Georgiy Kleban giving money to a Serbian intelligence officer had been made on December 24, 2018, but not by the Serbian Military Security Agency, which he said had been fully aware of the case.

“Our security services obtained information that retired Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) Lt-Col Z. K. would meet with Georgiy Kleban in Zemun on that day, sometime around 6 pm,” Vucic told a press conference after a session of the National Security Council.

He noted that Serbia had on several occasions taken note of and documented Kleban's contacts with SAF members.

He added that there was documentation about contacts between other members of a Russian security service and members of organisations within the Serbian military, but did not elaborate.
