BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday announced that the entire Morava Corridor - the Pojate-Preljina motorway in central Serbia - would be completed in less than four years and that it would also be the first digital motorway in the country.

People have been dreaming about this motorway for decades and that dream is now coming true, he said after the signing of a commercial agreement to build the motorway.

"It is now possible - the agreement has been signed and the works will begin immediately," Vucic said, adding that the route would connect Corridor 10 and Corridor 11.

One is a European corridor, and we will make the other - Corridor 11 - a European one, he said.

He also announced 150 mln dinars of budget funds would be disbursed for the project by the end of the year.

"I am very happy, this is huge news for us, we are connecting the west of central Serbia with the east of central Serbia. Once you do that, you have other things to do as well, so we already have some ideas," he said.

More investors will come to that part of the country and more young people will stay in it, he said.
