Stock market activity drops on BELEX

Stock trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) declined compared to Wednesday, while indices saw solid gains.

BELGRADE - Stock trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) declined compared to Wednesday, while indices saw solid gains.

The overall turnover was just 7.1 mln dinars (60.9 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index rose 1 pct to 779.85 points, while BELEXline climbed 0.7 pct to 1,694.29 points.

The petroleum company Naftna industrija Srbije saw the highest turnover -1.5 mln dinars - at a price of 728 dinars, 0.1 pct up compared to the previous trading session.

Komercijalna banka common stocks recovered from Wednesday's losses, rising 3.1 pct to 3,249 dinars, and generated a turnover just shy of 1 mln dinars, while preferred stocks of the tobacco company Philip Morris dropped 1.7 pct, closing at 5,650 dinars with a turnover of around 0.6 mln dinars.

Nikola Tesla Airport was again among the gainers as it rose 1 pct to 897 dinars, generating a turnover of over half a billion dinars.

Construction material and fuels company Kopaonik saw the same turnover but was the top gainer of the day with a 7.8 pct jump to 6,900 dinars.
