BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday said Serbia was planning to continue its cooperation with Finnish telecoms giant Nokia, in particular in the fields of landline networks and transport optical systems.

At a meeting with a Nokia delegation headed by Mikko Lavanti, the company's vice president for central eastern Europe and central Asia, Vucic said the ability to use Nokia's experiences in development of entrepreneurship in the IT sector was also exceptionally important for Serbia.

The two parties agreed that Telekom Srbija's decades-long cooperation with Nokia, encompassing diverse technological segments of mobile and landline networks, had been very good to date, and expressed the expectation it would be significantly improved in the future, the presidential press office said in a statement.
