Slow activity on BELEX, indices see mixed performance

Stock market activity on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was slow Monday and indices saw a mixed performance.

BELGRADE - Stock market activity on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) was slow Monday and indices saw a mixed performance.

The overall turnover was 6.2 mln dinars (around 53.2 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index slid 0.1 pct to 776.79 points, while BELEXline strengthened by the same percentage, closing at 1,697.36 points.

The petroleum company Naftna industrija Srbije saw the highest turnover - 1.6 mln dinars - at a steady price of 728 dinars.

An approximately equal turnover was generated by Sevojno-based manufacturing and assembly company Jedinstvo, which jumped 2.8 pct to 6,973 dinars.

Komercijalna banka common stocks declined nearly 1 pct to 3,199 dinars, generating a turnover of slightly over 1 mln dinars, while the bank's preferred stocks plummeted 10.7 pct to 1,120 dinars, closing as the biggest loser of the day's trading, and also saw a scant turnover.

The Sevojno Impol Seval aluminium rolling mill was the top gainer of the day, soaring 5.4 pct to 3,500 dinars, and generated a turnover just shy of 0.5 mln dinars.
