Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) indices plunged into red territory on Thursday following a sharp decline of some stocks.

BELGRADE - Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) indices plunged into red territory on Thursday following a sharp decline of some stocks.

The overall turnover was 20.9 mln dinars (178 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index fell 0.5 pct to 775.63 points, while BELEXline slid by slightly under half a percent to 1,695.35 points.

Nikola Tesla Airport saw the highest turnover - 0.9 mln dinars - at a steady price of 900 dinars per share, while the petroleum company Naftna industrija Srbije dropped a quarter of a percent to 728 dinars, with a turnover of 0.8 mln dinars.

Komercijalna banka common stocks dropped 0.8 pct to 3,169 dinars, generating a 0.6 mln dinar turnover, while Energopojekt Holding declined 2.7 pct to 650 dinars, registering a turnover just shy of 0.2 mln dinars.

Belgrade-based transport company Lasta fell 5.5 pct to 650 dinars and saw a 0.1 mln dinar turnover, while the Pirot rubber company Tigar was the biggest loser of the day, plummeting 22 pct to 46 dinars, with a scant turnover.

At a steady 44,700 dinars, the logistics company Intereuropa recorded a solid 2.6 mln dinar turnover on the MTP market, while the Coka Tobacco Industry generated a turnover of 15.2 mln dinars in a block transaction at 2,500 dinars per share.
