DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced he would meet with US President Donald Trump's special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina talks, Richard Grenell, in Belgrade on Friday morning.

The US is ready to hear Belgrade's requests and problems concerning Kosovo-Metohija, he told the RTS from Davos.

On the fringes of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Vucic on Tuesday also met with US national security adviser Robert O'Brien.

In the statement to the RTS, Vucic said O'Brien was a decent man who was willing and able to listen also to representatives of countries whose economic clout and significance were much smaller than those of the US.

"I think he understands Serbia's position well," Vucic said.

"I am not saying the US will now switch to our side, as some would think, but they are ready to hear what our requests and problems are and what Serbia thinks about the (Kosovo-Metohija) issue. In that sense, I think we have opened a door behind which we can talk more openly with US partners than we had before," Vucic said.
