BELGRADE - US special presidential envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina talks Richard Grenell on Friday said Pristina's tariffs on Serbian goods must be dropped and added that Belgrade's campaign for derecognitions of Kosovo must stop.

Grenell was speaking at a press conference after a Belgrade meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

"When I was in Kosovo yesterday I made very clear to every leader I met with, and to the media and to the business community there, that the tariffs must be dropped,” Grenell said.

"That is unacceptable, and I also bring the same request here, which is that the derecognition campaign must stop. And, so I think what we'll do is continue moving in this direction of concentrating on the economy, concentrating on growing jobs, and that means… dropping the tariffs will create more wealth and create a more normal situation when it comes to commerce," he said.

"I met with a large number of businesses in Kosovo and there was one thing that they all agreed on… that the tariffs must drop. And this is something that I think that we are all focused on, and I am confident that we are getting there," he also said.
