Vesic: November average wage in Belgrade almost 600 euros

BELGRADE - According to official statistics released on January 24, the November average wage in Belgrade was 69,713 dinars, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic said Monday.

In an appearance on Happy TV, Vesic said a promise that the average wage in the capital would be almost 600 euros at the end of last year had been fulfilled as early as November.

The average wage in Belgrade will be 600-615 euros when the December statistics are released on February 22, he said.

The average wage amounted to 593 euros last November, as opposed to 465 euros in November 2013, when the city's jobless rate was 25 pct, he said.

"On the last day of October last year, the unemployment rate in Belgrade was 7.7 pct," he said.
