NIS dominates BELEX stock trading, indices decline

The petroleum company Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) on Thursday dominated the stock trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX), while both indices declined in the wake of Wednesday's gains.

BELGRADE - The petroleum company Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) on Thursday dominated the stock trading on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX), while both indices declined in the wake of Wednesday's gains.

The overall stock trading turnover was 20.4 mln dinars (173.4 thousand euros).

The BELEX15 index dropped 1.1 pct to 808.28 points, while BELEXline fell 0.6 pct to 1,759.67 points.

NIS gained 0.1 pct, closing at 740 dinars and generating a turnover of almost 14.2 mln dinars.

Nikola Tesla Airport was the biggest loser of the day, declining 5.2 pct to 1,000 dinars and registering a 4 mln dinar turnover.

Technical gas producer and distributor Messer Tehnogas also sank, falling 0.7 pct to 15,352 dinars and generating a 0.3 mln dinar turnover.

The insurance company Globos osiguranje was the top gainer of the day, rising 5.3 pct to 474 dinars, but saw a scant turnover.

On the MTP market, Pancevo-based agricultural company Stari Tamis generated a turnover of over 0.9 mln dinars at a price of 4.500 dinars per share - 12.5 pct up compared to the previous trading session.
