Vucic: Agreement with UAE enormously important for Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday evening a comprehensive agreement on a Serbia-UAE economic partnership he had signed with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the weekend was enormously important for Serbia and its people.

Speaking to Pink TV, Vucic said the agreement was a foundation for cooperation in numerous areas, from production to exports to the UAE and imports from the country.

"For example, when they make drones for us, we can get them in an accelerated procedure. We can start producing food together, to set up joint food industry complexes, and everything we are exporting we can export to the UAE first," Vucic said.

He noted that the results of the agreement would become visible in the future, as would the results of the cooperation with China, and added that, for example, duty-free wine exports would give Serbia a 34 pct advantage over French winemakers.

"If that margin is not sufficient, then it do not know what is," he said.
