BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Odile Renaud-Basso on Friday to discuss cooperation in strategic projects, thanking the EBRD for its support to Serbia.
Brnabic noted the significance of investments in infrastructure and energy for Serbia's development, and the meeting especially addressed cooperation in the field of scientific and innovation infrastructure, the Serbian government said in a statement.
Besides expansions of science and technology parks in Cacak and Nis, there are plans to build a new one in Krusevac.
Brnabic also presented plans to build a BIO4 campus, a unique centre that will integrate higher-education and scientific and research institutions with businesses as well as capacities and activities in the field of AI with opportunities for development of the national economy.
Brnabic and the EBRD president discussed a dual education programme, one of the Serbian government's top priorities in the field of education.
Renaud-Basso and the head of the Office for Dual Education Gabrijela Grujic signed a MoU on cooperation and continued EBRD support for participation of the private sector in educational processes and greater involvement of companies in the dual education programme.
