MK Group founder and president Miodrag Kostic dies

BELGRADE - Serbia's MK Group announced on Wednesday its founder and president Miodrag Kostic has died at the age of 65.

"It is with great grief that we inform you of the passing of Miodrag Kostic, founder and president of MK Group," it said in a statement.

"In the 40 years of his active professional career, Kostic created one of the largest business systems in the region, which earned him the international status of one of the most influential leaders and one of the most successful businesspeople in southeastern Europe," the statement said.

Kostic achieved great success and pioneering undertakings in agriculture, tourism, energy and banking, positioning his companies as leaders in those sectors, MK Group said.
