Value of construction works in Serbia down in Q4 2022

BELGRADE - The value of construction works executed in Serbia in Q4 2022 was down by 0.1 pct y-o-y at current prices and by 13.7 pct y-o-y at constant prices, the national statistical office RZS said in a statement.

The value of construction works on buildings and other structures at constant prices was down by 12.8 pct and by 14.2 pct, respectively.

The value of construction works at constant prices declined in the Sumadija and western Serbia regions (0.3 pct), the Vojvodina region (1.0 pct), the southern and eastern Serbia regions (19.8 pct) and the Belgrade region (30.9 pct).

The territory of the Republic of Serbia accounted for 96.5 pct of the total construction works, with construction sites abroad making up the remaining 3.5 pct.

The value of construction works executed in Q4 2022 by Serbian contractors in the country and abroad was up by 0.6 pct at current prices and down by 13.0 pct at constant prices.
