Serbian end-2024 public debt at 47.4 pct of GDP

BELGRADE - Serbia's debt-to-GDP ratio stood at 47.4 pct at the end of 2024, according to figures released by the Ministry of Finance.

In a statement, it said the public debt had totalled 38.87 bln euros at end-2024, with direct and indirect liabilities totalling 37.04 bln and 1.83 bln euros, respectively.

The ministry also said Serbia's public debt had totalled 36.15 bln euros - or 48 pct of GDP - at end-2023 and 33.326 bln euros - or 52.4 pct of GDP - at end-2022.

At the end of November 2024, the public debt totalled 38.39 bln euros, or 46.8 pct of GDP, the ministry said.
