BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Thursday the country's ICT exports had totalled 2.692 bln euros in 2022, rising by 45 pct relative to 2021.
"Excellent news for Serbia: our ICT sector exports in 2022 according to official figures: 2.692 bln euros (45 pct growth relative to 2021)!" Brnabic wrote in a Twitter post.
She added that, with ICT service imports of 732 mln euros, Serbia had an ICT services trade surplus of nearly 2 bln euros and that the surplus had risen by 48.8 pct relative to 2021.
She noted that, during his tenure as PM, President Aleksandar Vucic had set up an IT Council in 2016 with the aim of taking the balance of ICT sector trade to 1.5 bln euros by 2022.
"At the time, people were telling us that is impossible and that this was empty talk. We have accomplished and exceeded the target: the balance is almost 2 bln euros! No empty talk, just work and fight!" Brnabic said.
