NOVI SAD - The oil company NIS invested 22.1 bln dinars in development projects in 2022, which is a 9 pct increase compared to capital investments in 2021.
In a statement, NIS announced an ambitious investment portfolio for 2023 that is worth double the amount of capital investments last year.
The company said it had achieved its priorities successfully in 2022, maintaining the stability of the local market and continuing to modernise the NIS Group.
Amid market volatility and a challenging macroeconomic environment, regular supplies of all types of fuels were maintained, it said.
NIS also remained one of the largest budget contributors in Serbia, with its tax and other liabilities totalling 231.7 bln dinars, or 22 pct more relative to the previous year.
In 2022, NIS also saw record-high results in terms of processing and turnover, the statement also said.
